Collaborate with Us

We love to collaborate with our community members and have many opportunities to do so! Please use the forms below to contact us and we will respond as soon as we can. Submitting a request does not guarantee an approval. We reserve the right to deny any requests at any time.

Thank you!

Authors

At Underdog Bookstore we are committed to uplifting marginalized voices and feature LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, Disabled and Neurodiverse authors and stories for all ages. Authors may use this form to submit their books for consideration in our store and also for event requests.

Vendors

If you're an artist or small business vendor who shares our values and wants to connect with the Underdog community, we invite you to book a pop-up table in store. You may use your pop-up spot to sell products, or offer services like poetry writing or tarot reading. Please note: We are not accepting applications for consignment vendors at this time.

Events

Whether you're looking to host a community event or book our space for a private gathering, we'd love to hear from you! Our calendar fills fast so please provide as much notice as possible for your preferred dates.

Volunteers

Our volunteer program is designed to give you the opportunity to build new skills, gain new experiences, and satisfaction in helping others while meeting new people and helping out your community. We offer flexible opportunities both in-person and remote.

Donations

We receive many donation requests from different community groups and as a small nonprofit ourselves we are unable to donate to every cause. We will prioritize requests from community partners that align with our mission and values.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer a 10% discount on new books for all teachers and 20% off bulk orders of 20+ titles for your school event or classroom library. We also offer free field trips to visit the store, or on-campus book giveaways, workshops or presentations. If you create a Bookshop.org Registry with Underdog as your affiliate, we can help promote book donations for your students!

  • We carry new and used books for all ages, but our shelving works a little differently to your traditional book store! Instead of sorting by genre, we encourage people to diversify their reading by showcasing underrepresented voices on our LGBTQ+, BIPOC, Disabled & Neurodiverse Authors & Stories shelves. Within those sections you’ll find books across all genres. You can ask a Bookseller or call the store to see if a certain book is in stock, or request a special order for store pick up here.

  • We don’t buy used books but we do accept donations. We prioritize books that fit our mission - LGBTQ+, BIPOC, Disabled/Neurodiverse authors, Banned Books, and Children’s Books. We will select only the books that we can use, so if it’s more than a handful please call ahead to ensure that someone will be available to sort your donation on arrival.

  • Underdog Bookstore is a 501c3 nonprofit! Everything we do goes back into furthering out mission and providing a safe space with free programs and resources for our community. Donations can be made online here, or by cash or card in store.

  • Unfortunately we had to stop operating our Community Fridge due to safety concerns for our staff and volunteers. We are trying to find a new outdoor location to host the fridge, and now offer a Mutual-Aid Pop-Up on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 11Am-2Pm instead.
