Asher O’Briant’s an advocate for bringing anyone’s authentic storytelling to life. Asher’s clear dedication to a mixed media artistic expression caught the attention of venues like the Andy Warhol Museum and comedy clubs across the country.
Along with a bachelor’s in screenwriting, Asher trained directly under Emmy-winning sketch writer Richard Hawkins of the “Carol Burnett Show.” His award-winning writing not only graces local and national stages, but many of his published pieces are still accessible to read today from anywhere. As a professional comedian, he’s toured shows nationwide from New York City to Anchorage, Alaska. Asher's opened for notable jokesters such as - but not limited to - Robby Hoffman, Julio Torres, Steve Hofstetter, Sam Jay & Sarah Hester Ross.
He's been featured in official pride celebrations in Seattle, Pittsburgh, Long Beach, and West Hollywood. His intentional approach to humor landed him a position as an Advisor of Equity and Inclusion within the arts. Asher O’Briant lives at the intersection between artistry and activism, and his door is always open! He happily dedicates his time to uplifting underrepresented artists, with an emphasis on trans/genderqueer and marginalized comedians. After all, what’s funnier than going through puberty…twice?
